what at 1st sight can be a sad and worrying situations when certain players get injured for the mid-term, can on 2nd glance seem to be a blessing cleverly disguised...

think of the possibility of Bassong arriving, without Woogate's seemingly intractable injury and his wonderful adventures in faraway shores on full-pay, looking for a miracle 'cure' whilst not infrequently holding a glass of sangria in 1 hand, whilst dancing the nights away (to keep his fitness-levels up of course),,,

would Kranjcar have arrived without the kindly tap from that nice chap Lee Bowyer on Modric's shin-bone...

and last but not least, how we lamented the very good BAE being sidelined just before Xmas and being forced to rely on that sorry, overhyped, unreliable waste-of-space with that horrid jinx of never winning when this kid started a game for our Spurs.... what was his name again ??...

it's with this backdrop that we now find ourselves sobbing uncontrollably at the sight and thought of Michael Dawson with multiple-ligament damage and being out of the team for a goodly 8-week period....

I guess we'll just have to make do with that useless, untalented, but strangely much-loved figure of William Gallas at centre-back instead...

get well soon Michael.... we'll really miss you... as will the team..

lucky lucky Inter..
