I was going to say something very negative about my expectations, but I think I'll just keep it to myself. Probably just the mood I'm in today!

Not feeling optimistic about this game Arry has to get the boys back on track!

Like your line up BigV, but I think it will be:-
4-4-1-1
Gomes
Kaboul, Gallas, Daws, Bale
Lennon*, Modders, Sandro, Penis
VDV,
Pav

Harry may keep him on the bench though for speaking out of turn and being a naughty little boy that dares to question Harry, in which case VDV will go RM and Defoe will start up front in a 4-4-2.

Gomes will be given the nod again otherwise his confidence will be compromised.

Well there you have it. Another draw and as is sometimes the case we were lucky enough to earn it. The usual scenario from one game to the next. Harrys tactical retardation and gomes' errors. Dawson was due a stupid error and he duly delivered. As far as Gomes was concerned his confidence was to be bolstered by not dropping him which he rewarded us with by error number 22 this season or whatever amount it is.
Now to Harry. Drops lennon. Fair enough they have had a row according to some sources.  Puts vdv there which means we lack pace on that side. Pav and defoe up front. Pav had a decent first half yet he takes him off at half time for lennon and leaves on the ineffective defoe who was anonymous in the first 45. Fair enough. Taking off pav was to force vdv to play in the hole and create some goal scoring chances as the game was at nil nil, allowing lennon to play on the right. Ok seems an optimistic decision as it rarely works nowadays. But then Bale gets injured. So instead of putting on Niko or moving modric to the left he brings back Vdv who was supposed to be playing in the hole and totally contradicts his previous alteration almost immediately. Is this guy for real??? Bringing on Niko at 90 mins is an insult to the player and harry's tactics. Harry needs to realise that vdv is not the answer to every position. He is not our best player. He is either a striker or a midfielder not both as he doesnt perform exceptionally well in either position. I am fuming as Harry doesnt seem to give a toss. The scary thing is no matter how many times he repeats the old they only had 2 points from 8 games spiel we now only have had 1 win in 12 games in all competitions.England manager my arse.

I could copy and paste your post thread. Excellent. My sentiments. Have calculated we have got 12 points from the last 10 games which equates to 46 points a season. Progress, what progress?

tbf to Arry on this particular point, Vaart could go to LM after Bale's injury cos we had (or about to bring) Crouch on to partner Defoe.... so we still had 2 strikers and with time running out, Crouch and route-1 was the best option...

I dont think Arry's to blame for tactics today... I agree with him that Pav was useless in the 1st half and kept giving possession away nearly everytime he got the ball... nothing stuck to him at all.... Defoe was quiet but was making good runs and occupying defenders intelligently....

Defoe also scored yet another great goal today..... about 4 in the last 6-7 played...... considering Vaart took his place for many games and played with either Crouch or Pav, I think Defoe's shown he's as good as ever.... WHEN GIVEN A RUN IN THE SIDE..

5th-6th is about right this yr.... shoehorning a 'famous' player in to appease the fans, regardless of team-balance and patterns of play has cost bigtime the last 12 games of the season...

Poor. If we can't get a win after City drew, then... fade to grey. Should have beaten Blackpool out of sight. Sorrrrrrry.
