I agree with Mr Finch. Preseason games fall into two categories
1 games like Mk Dons where we have a look at the yougsters and experiment with positions.
2 games against opposition where we get our new players integrated and get the team machine in sync.
With one game to go preseason we have achieved the first but as for the second...

  I beg to differ pre-season friendlies are primarily about players getting match practice in order to get MATCH-FIT with just 2 weeks to go to the opening game, they are not about trying players in other positions AVB should by now know their capabilities.

Well; I won't argue with what you said here. But that is roughly in line in with what I had said in my previous post. Winning is nice in friendlies but as you said; the main points are match practice. I think he does know their positions but I would manage he would be trying things out in case he has to tinker with positions.
