despite official reports, Keane is not injured but is being induced to join West Ham in exchange for Scott Parker (he of the scary bark and less-scary bite).... the deal is wanted by both clubs as Parker has refused contract-extension and wants to join Spurs... West Ham are desperate to get Keano for his experience/leadership in steadying listing ships as well as goal-power but the deal has hit a snag...
Keane will not be employed by pornographers.
the Irishman is a a catholic and is very strict in the application of his morals, and despite mounting pressure from the Spurs hierachy, refuses to budge on the issue and will not go to West Ham.... Celtic are his preferred option but they will not bid higher than 6m, with Spurs wanting more....ultimately, a loan seems to be the only way forward and Celtic again are in pole-position (as the player will have the final say)..
a surprising twist.... but not an entirely unrefreshing one when you consider a league that allows Russian asset-strippers, an Abu Dhabi dictator-family that claims a whole country's wealth for itself, a Thai billionaire war-criminal on the run from his own country, and various shady businessmen of dubious reputation, as well as 2 internationally-recognised porn-barons to be classed as fit-and-proper persons to own a football club...
some might be inclined to compliment Keano's stance with a cheeky well-done...

Once again you contradict yourself in other posts you are desperate to offload players like Keane, but now you are on his side saying well done for refusing, What's happen to the greater good of the club etc etc etc
As for who owns what thats entirely up to the Premier League and the other clubs and their morals, you only reep what you sow !!!!

1) Keano leaving to make room for Fabiano - good
2) Keano being shoved out the door to a club he doesnt want to join - bad
3) club transferring Keano to a club hes willing to join - very good
and the last time I looked, I wasnt Keano so my own personal views on porn is totally irrelevant (nothing to do with it)

As someone reported, Keane had had a huge bust-up with Joe Jordan. Come on, who would dear to fight Joe Jordan? I wouldn't... Daily Mail posted some pictures with Robbie and missus at the V Festival, he certainly did not look as if he had just left hospital. :D

however, I did point out errors in the comprehension of the original post to the person in question..
Keano aint going to West Ham... so hopefully we won't be getting Parker either... we have THudd, Modric, Palacios and Sandra for 2 CM slots in the team (Jenas will be playing in Italy).... thats ample for competition/cover..

I think Levy should bite the bullet and sell him to Celtic... the guy should be given a golden-goodbye from Spurs for nearly a decade of good solid service and always in a professional manner and with grace and dignity..
the guy deserves to leave on good terms with the club, and hopefully come back to us in some form of ambassodorial or coaching capacity when he hangs up his boots...

Decade of solid service including legging it to play for his beloved Liverpool prior to his loan to his beloved Celtic. Get a grip.
I still love Keano and don't really want to offload him, especially not on the cheap to Celtic and with no golden handshake!

ahh Miller Miller.... so naive..
takes 2 to tango Babygirl, and Keano would not even have had a chance to talk to Pool if Spurs hadnt already accepted an offer of 18m pounds..
when a club says its accepted a bid and gives you permission to talk to them, it doesnt instil the greatest confidence that they want you to stay...
oh... and Spurs made the small matter of 5m pounds on the turnaround when Keano returned 6months later...

I believe Spurs agreed not to report Liverpool on account of the fact that they agreed to make a rather substantial donation to charity as part of the deal...
Spurs now say that they have dropped any action against LFC, in return for a Reds donation to a Spurs charity, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. A statement on Spurs’ official site read: “The Club can announce that it has reached agreement with Liverpool FC for the transfer of Robbie Keane.”
It then quoted Levy, who said: “I was incredibly disappointed when I first heard, not only that Liverpool had been working behind the scenes to bring Robbie to Anfield, but that Robbie himself wanted to go and he submitted a transfer request to this effect.
“I have already made my opinion clear on the nature of this transaction. I don’t regard it as a transfer deal – that is something which happens between two clubs when they both agree to trade – this is very much an enforced sale, for which we have agreed a sum of £19m as compensation plus a potential further £1.3m in additional compensation.”
The Spurs site said Liverpool had “acknowledged” how putting Rafa’s comments (which had been on many other websites over the course of the day, including in video form on the Sky Sports website) on their own website was “inappropriate”: “Liverpool FC has also acknowledged that the way its website reported comments of its manager, which were widely covered by the media, was inappropriate and in light of that acknowledgement has apologised and agreed to make a donation to our Club’s main charity, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Tottenham Hotspur has therefore agreed not to pursue its official complaint to the Premier League.”
Keane himself actually thanked Levy, and said he hoped the Spurs fans would understand why he felt he had to make this move: “I would specifically like to thank Daniel Levy for understanding that, as a fan, joining Liverpool is a lifelong dream of mine and one I couldn’t let pass me by. I hope one day the Spurs fans, who have been brilliant to me, can understand this, too.”

still didnt have to sell did Levy ??..... Keano had recently signed a new conny.... so why not just hold him to it, like intended for Berbatov ??
the sale was agreed in the space of about 1 day... what about Utd's pursuit of Berbatov in comparison ??
and we so hated the idea of Keano afterwards, why buy him back after 6 months, unless you really wanted him ??

I think that was due maybe to the lack of perceived options available more than really wanting him.
I don't mean that in a totally negative way, Redknapp clearly rates him and could see the torrid time he was having at Liverpool, but I think it was a necessity from Keane and it suited us, rather than being bells and whistles - a match made in heaven. The second coming wasn't the triumph that Harry thought it would be.
I am surprised that Levy had him back, I am not surprised that Levy decided to sell though. He's a businessman first and foremost and has a very good job at WHL (no-one is perfect). If an asset wants to leave then he makes sure he gets the very best price for the club - it's the whole "no-one is bigger than the club" ethos and I like that.
And you allude to Berbatov too but he did the same there....held United off for a year and a half and pushed it right to the wire and forced them to recant their position and pay our fee for him....not bad when the player is refusing to play and forcing you into a corner. I'd have loved to see the stoat thrown in the reserves but at the end of the day, the club came first and that's the important thing.

Whats the betting that West Ham will emerge as his boyhood club should he end up there. Celtic where his boyhood club originally then Liverpool then Celtic again Guys got more scarves than a belly dancer.

dont blame either Keano or Spurs for parting... a win-win at the time..
but the point remains that we were satisfied very early on and made no real effort to keep Keano..
as for Berbatov, I think we got lucky with the Abu Dhabi takeover at Citeh, and their need to act the big I-am straight off with a bid for a 'famous player' at 34m.... that forced Utd to counter and we got 32m from them after Berba refused to join Citeh at a higher salary than Utd were offering...
still.... even if Keano inevitably moves now on loan/sale to probably Celtic, I dont think he will become a pantheon-figure anymore at Spurs... as theres too much bad blood spilt now..
also, even if he's te only fit striker left, Keano knows he wont be allowed to play against YGs on Wednesday.... I think he's now played his last game for Spurs and will head off back to Celtic on recurring-loan...

I don't have a source because I quite simply don't know anyone associated with Tottenham or close enough to Robbie Keane. Just assuming that when you use verb 'will' and its different forms then it means that it is certain that something is about to happen. To be certain, you have to have a reliable source such as Levy, Redknapp, Bond or Jordan...
To me 'a mate whose good mate's secound cousin's neighbour's mate who used to do gardening job for someone who is mates with Robbie Keane's mate who used to be his best mate's classmate when he was still in Dublin' cannot be a reliable source.
And this last part is not to insult anyone, just that there are too many people who want their 15 minutes of fame by throwing s**t in the air.
