starting XI: Cudicini, Corluka, King, Bassong, BAE, Lennon, THudd, Palacios, Bale, vdV, Crouch subs: Pletikosa, Kaboul, Jenas, Kranjcar, Pav, Keane, Dos Santos

I would honestly start with Crouch and Keane up front in a 4-4-2. Crouch has some good Champions League experience and he always turns up and performs well in big games. This will be very hard i reckon, Bremen are a decent side and always have good runs in European competitions it seems. Palacios at the moment is really off the boil so i think i would start Krancjar in the middle next to Huddlestone to add some creativity. Good to have King back for Tuesday after being rested. Tough game, but this is what the Champions League is about!

hmm it's a hard one....i think away in the CL we need to pack the midfield so we can get a draw at least.

According to the news on the official site (http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/modric-update-120910.html), Modric has not broken anything in his foot and will travel to Bremen with the rest of the squad.

Palacios was s**te ??..... did you see THudd in the 2nd half and the acres of space he was leaving cos he couldnt shift his legs faster than a 4yr old after 60mins ??.... Palacios is deffo becoming the scapegoat of the team now, and is constantly used to allow the sheep on the stands to turn a blind eye to their more favoured players like Hudd..

we wont use a 4-4-2 with Keano n Crouch.... if anything vdV will deffo play cos of his extensive CL experience AND playing many games in the Bundesliga..

I think VDV and Crouch are dead certs to play for this one.

Palacois cant cover everywhere mate. He had a difficult job tracking their attacking threats when Hudd tired. Hudd should have been back to break up the play too. Defending well comes from defending as a team. Hudd didn't seem to have the fitness to last a full 90mins tracking back with Sgt Wilson in the 2nd half.

This is a chance for us to put down a real marker in this group, lets show the other teams we mean business..we can go here and win!....Bremen are pretty poor defensively..add in the fact that their two first choice centre backs Mertesacker and Naldo are out injured....that puts things in our favour already.

If we can get through the first 20 minutes...silence the crowd....get our passing game going..i just think we will have to much for them.

Roll on tomorrow night!

if THudd plays, we better be 2 up by 60mins or we will be be done up like a kipper.... the guy goes to pot lately fitness-wise around that time.... but dont worry, you can always put the blame on Palacios (even if its 1 CM versus 3 60min-90min)...

Palacios does well defending.  Unfortunatley, once he's won the ball we can't call timeout to let someone else come get the ball and pass it for him.

Palacios' passing inadequacies really are trumped-up charges.... even in the Wigan game where he made 2 errors thru over-confidence with cross-field passes intercepted, the VAST MAJORITY of his passing, sometimes 1-2 touch only, were not just okay but exquisite.... before that I too fell into the conventional trap of thinking he was a bad passer of a ball...

errors thru over-confidence are BY FAR the most easiest to eradicate as it just needs a player to be more conservative in his judgement.... the same with BAE sometimes...

unlike a Dawson whose far more frequent near-fatal errors are a constant danger in at least 1 match in 2.... the guy really just can't help it....

Hmmm dont know how i feel this is gonna go tbh. Will i admit that we could be given a lesson in european football as we were against young fellas or will i let my eternal optimism coupled with the usual self placating excuses conjured up by football fans to appease themselves with regard to their team's traditional failings  on the pitch? It could be a case of either situation and either end result. I do hope we field the strongest team possible and take it to the germans. God how long have i waited to say that. spurs in europe at the big time. Main consolation for me is KIngs inclusion, we really don't concede damn all when he plays. Its going to be an exciting night tomorrow. I cant f**king wait!!!!!

On the official site it says that Harry will see how VDV and Gallas both feel because they both played there first 90 minutes since the world cup and were shattered from saturday, but i expect VDV to play because his knowledge and CL experience is vital tomorrow. Modric will say if he can play because Harry doesnt want him to get nailed and be a long term absentee, it says that he is the only person who can say how his leg feels. By 10 o clock tomorrow night i want to be a very proud Tottenham fan. Yid Army!!!!!

All I ask is for a good performance and for us not to freeze on the big stage, a win would be nice but I'll take a draw. The one thing I really hope and pray for is we don't get a good shafting because that could throw everything up in the air and ruin so much.

I kind of hope that we go and play solid for the first 20-30 mins and get a feel for the game then decide wether we can open them up, they are at home so they will have to come at us. This gives us the chance to hit em on the break with Lennon and Bale and hopefully they will leave big gaps as they chase the game at home against a team they would look at as a direct rival for second place in the group !!!

"Most easiest?"  Please hand in your grammar cop badge.

I don't care whether it's considered "conventional" or not, Palacios' passing sucks.  Sometimes conventional wisdom became conventional because it's true.  It isn't just the passes across the middle of the of the defense that are frequently too soft, it's the passes forward that seem to be to no one in particular.  I'm not a Dawson defender, but his issues seem to be a result of slow white boy-itis.  Palacios has bad aim and bad/inconsistent touch.  Both players need to improve, but their issues are different.

I think we would all be happy with point this evening. Bremen are a decent side with some very good players. We will need to be completely focused for the full 90mins. Both sides are missing some big players so hopefully Crouch will have another big game for us.

A lot of fans are moaning about the form of Sgt Wilson, however I really feel that away from home in Europe he will be vital to our hopes of getting out of the group and into the knockout stages.

Cant wait now, just under 4 hours to K.O

Look out, it's Gareth Keown's dream lineup! Spurs XI according to Sky:

                                   Cudicini
Corluka              King               Kaboul           BAE
                    Jenas                    Huddlestone
       Lennon                  VDV                           Bale
                                   Crouch

Actually, I'm ok with this. I think Jenas can do well.

I'm surprised at Kaboul getting the nod over Bassong...I just thought bassong was higher in the pecking order than Kaboul.

Oh well, im not fussed either way, i think thats a strong team. I think the slower pace of the CL suits Jenas and Hudds

A bit gutted the lads managed to throw away 2:0 lead. Nevertheless, Inter also managed 2:2 against FC Twente and I have feeling that this result will have hurt them more than a good away draw against a strong team. But hey, at least I ruled in predictons... 2:2 score with the first goal being an own goal. I always suck at predictions so I'll try to be pleased.  :P

Definatly gutted that we through away a 2 goal lead, but to be honest i was hoping for at least a draw, and a draw is good away from home on the CL debut against a very good German side. Crouch should have put that chance away near the end and it would have been a different story, buut we cant dwell on missed opportunities. Corluka and BAE need to get there acts together, they looked very poor and clueless at times. With the other game finishing in a draw aswell it looks good. That Marin looked a class little act didnt he! COYS

Bit like Saturday. Great for most of 1st half, fast paced attacking football. 2nd half we looked a bit shocked and stood off a bit and slowed the tempo. Still although it could have been better, it could have been much worse. A point away from home in the CL is a decent result in the end

After sleeping on it and thinking about the match that was actually a very good result away from home. First half we were sublime and I think we could of lived with anyone playing like that, but once again silly errors cost us points and games.

BAE is becoming a bit of a liability at LB lately firstly he boots the ball all the way across the pitch and gives away a throw level with our 6 yard line for no apparant reason. Then from the resulting ball played into the box fails to even attempt a challenge on the forward who nodded in the ball, OK not all the blame goes to him Cudicini could have done more but again a goal against us when we were comfortably controlling the game. The second goal was a great bit of individual play by Marin but I thought the defence could of got out to him a lot quicker to try and block the shot instead they backed off (especially Corluka) and allowed the lad a shot.

As for Jenas he was Ok in the first half but how long are we going to keep playing him, he goes missing far too much in games and when he does get the ball it's always a backwards or sideways pass. I know hindsight is a great thing but maybe playing Kaboul in midfield instead of Jenas and Bassong at the back would of given us a better chance.

Like I say a good result especially with only 2 thirds of the team really playing at their best bring on Twente at home !!!!

Cudicini should have came out and took the whole lot of them....man and ball....Gomes would have!!..Cudicini is not brave enough in them situations...defenders want their keeper to come and deal with balls into the box like that...saying that BAE has to hold his hand up also....i agree he is becoming a liability.

I thought Jenas had a good game considering he hasn't be playing that much....Hudds faded badly after a hour(which is the norm for him)..we got away with it last night but we wont get away with it up against better teams....Palacios should have be on for Hudds well before he came on for Azza(who had a poor game too).

Bassong is not the answer..i would drive him away from the Lane myself....Kaboul is a better option and better player than Bassong..Kaboul had a decent game i though.

I cant believe Crouch put that chance wide late on..he's usually decent in a position like that...you would have taken the draw before the game started..its just a bit disappointing being two up and not getting the win but we will learn from it.
