Match Fixing
« on: February 04, 2013, 07:33:40 PM »
What do you guys think about this match fixing report? I wonder which Champions League game in England it was....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21319807

"A Champions League tie played in England is one of 680 matches across the world investigators say was fixed."

680 matches! That's really unsettling.

As for as I can make out there is only one match that was supposed to be fixed in England and that was a European Champions league match. But I am not surprised about the rest. What I am surprised about is that it has taken so long to come out. Fixing has been going on for years in Cricket in Asia and other such countries.

I'm really curious to find out which clubs are involved. That's going to be so damaging when they release that information.

680 matches?! Bloody hell! If this really is true, I'll give up following football.

Why? It doesn't mean English clubs were involved. As for the European match played in England; the officials could have rigged it without the players, manager or club knowing anything about it.

It says they've already arrested 50 people. It should definitely be interesting as the details are released.

I agree. I presume that some very interesting programmes will come out of it.

I wonder who the English CL club is? 3 to 4 years ago shouldn't be too hard to narrow it down. One thing for sure, it isn't Spurs!

Let us hope it is Ars*nal.... then again it could be United, City or even Chelsea.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?
