With a lack of televised Serie A matches in Britain, some of you won't be too familiar with this player and his recent exploits. Others I'm sure, are already fans.:)

Things just seem to get better for the young Sampdoria revelation. This season has seen him build his reputation higher and higher with every display. The forward received his first cap for the World Champions against Scotland in a recent qualifier, his fellow substitutes were Alessandro Del Piero and Andrea Pirlo. With confidence high, Quagliarella - who is already known for scoring spectacular efforts - beat the 'keeper from around 40 metres out with his back to goal away to Chievo on Sunday afternoon.

With both Milanese clubs and two unnamed foreign clubs said to be interested, the players has had an £11m pricetag placed on him. By no means out of the larger clubs reach.

With impressive displays and wonder goals under his belt, it would seem that the player who is co-owned with Udinese is primed for big things, although the player is focusing on the present rather than the future:

Is it me or has Jol not really taken much interest into Italian footballers, or Italian playing footballers?

He likes to bring in many Dutch players (for obvious reasons) and also a thing I like about him, he looks at alot of players from other English clubs.

As Stortsy said though, would be nice if we were one of the clubs linked with him.

A great compilation video link there too! ..

Italians notoriously settle in England hence Maccarone, Dalla Bonna etc with Zola and Vialla the only real exceptions.
