"A Champions League tie played in England is one of 680 matches across the world investigators say was fixed."

680 matches! That's really unsettling.

But I am not surprised about the rest. What I am surprised about is that it has taken so long to come out. Fixing has been going on for years in Cricket in Asia and other such countries.

Why? It doesn't mean English clubs were involved. As for the European match played in England; the officials could have rigged it without the players, manager or club knowing anything about it.

I agree. I presume that some very interesting programmes will come out of it.

Let us hope it is Ars*nal.... then again it could be United, City or even Chelsea.
