Title: Our Season So Far.....
Post by: Metalanimal on December 29, 2013, 06:16:29 PM
After 19 games played and the season that Liverpool are seen as title challengers, compared with our season that has been a disaster of catastrophic proportions to date the difference is just 2 points!

Today at Stoke we played them of the park and could have had a cricket score if our finishing was better!

Next up Man U which is a 6 pointer!

Despite our ups and downs so far, our season is still on track.  Good game today and great score. I expect the same commitment v MU and a slightly improved  finishing technique up front!

Our defence still looks very suspect and we could get a hiding at Old Trafford.  I hope Sherwood goes with 3 centre backs in Dawson, Capoue and Chir?  Welbeck tore Dawson apart at WHL a few weeks ago so hopefully we get 3 in the centre and go from there?  With Lennon showing abit of form today we might just sneak a draw?

Under AVB I had confidence that we would get a top 4 spot. Now I am not too sure. The next couple of games should give us a better picture. However, I do agree with what was said above; that we are still on track at this point in time.

The game against Stoke wasn't that a good game to judge Spurs progress as stoke were awful. A lot of teams are starting to improve; United is a good example.

Our next game will be interesting; United at Old Trafford.

I look forward to the next game. As mentioned above, the result will be a great factor to the rest of our season!

Basically, we have to win!!

I am also looking forward to the next game (but with concerns); we've got quite a few injuries and now Paulinho is out for 4 weeks. Sherwood has his work cut out for him. At the same time Rooney is back for our game at Old Trafford. Nice! isn't it!
