I found this interview with West Ham's co-owner David Sullivan. After reading that I'm not very surprised we didn't manage to bring anyone in. Agents really are like leeches and I think football would only win were they driven out.
As I have pointed out in other posts; we don't actually know what goes on when Directors or managers deal with transfers; however, fans prejudices want a certain thing and if they don't get it they then foist their anger on those that are doing the dealings.
