Title: DVD Box sets
Post by: Glenn R on January 09, 2013, 09:01:47 PM
For Christmas I got the DVD box set of Resident Evil (4 DVDs). I also got the complete DVD set of the X-Files (including two films) and all the 22 James Bond films.

I am enjoying myself watching them; when I get a chance that is. Box sets are very popular. What is your favourite and what do you have?

I don't really watch films or much tv. Due to my working times I only really watch football.

Now you many call me sad but I collect wwe DVDs and now I'm collecting Dragon Ball Z seasons there are 9.
It's anime series (1989-1996) 9 seasons. they only have season 1-5 out in the uk now, with rest coming out this year.
6 disks to every season.

I also have all James Bond films (bar Skyfall), Band of Brothers, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes and Mad Men. As I have to move flats in a few weeks I somewhat regret I've bought so many DVDs.  :P And I have a huge record collection too...

I have quite a massive collection, I'll list the TVseries box sets first then films, although for space saving all my DVD's are in large DVD wallets that hold 128 at a time so unless the box/case is mega special it gets recycled.

Box sets of TV series:
All season of The A-team
All season of Knight Rider
All seasons of the original Airwolf
All season of the original Hulk and TV movies
Season 1 & 2 Miami Vice
Dexter Seasons 1 > 6
CSI Las Vegas season 1 > 6
CSI New York seasons 1 & 2
Being Human season 1 > 3
True Blood seasons 1 > 4
Walking Dead season 1 & 2
Nikita season 1
Little Britain 1 > 3
Blue Planet
Boxing heavy weight greats inc Tyson Raw
Thundercats original season 1 & 2

Movie Box Sets
Police Academy all films
Star Wars episodes 1 > 3 and 4 > 6
Clint Eastwood 35 films produced and directed
Nightmare on Elm Street
Back To The Future
Indian Jones
Halloween up to H20
Rocky 1 > 6
Jaws 1 > 4
Blade Runner (special job metal box)
Scream 1 > 3
Rambo 1 > 3
Die Hard 1 > 3
Lethal Weapon 1 > 3
Alien 1 > 4

I want to get the Bond set I went and brough the box set but it was Bluray and I dont have a blu ray player and HMV had sold out of DVDs when I took it back  :'(

Think thats about it  :-\

Then to answer your previous post. I grew up partly in Australia in the 60s, early 70s. I used to watch some of the great American wrestlers live. Including world champions. I’ve got a few old time DVDs of Wrestling matches and watch a few on Youtube. So if you are sad, you are not alone. Granted that wrestling today is different to what was on in the 60s and 70s, but no less popular.

Where do you guys get your DVD's/Boxset's from?

I used to go to HMV(even tho very over priced I feel). I rarely go in to town theses days. So I pre-order my stuff from Amazon.

Now starting Breaking Bad to see what all the hype is about. Heard alot of good things about it so my expectations are pretty high.
