I think AVB will try out some players that haven't played much so-far so I don't expect a big score. Something like 2 or 3-0 win for us.
-
Nice preview of the 3rd round video from the BBC -

Two Non-League teams won
Luton 1-0 Wolves
Macclesfield 2-1 Cardiff
-
Looking at yesterdays results and the teams that many of the bigger EPL clubs fielded it would appear that perhaps the FA Cup is losing its prestige with the bigger clubs focusing more so on Europe.
We even used it as an opportunity to give Parker and BAE a start with other lesser players such a THudd starting, it could have backfired but the lads played well especially Demps.
It think it will be inevitable that in a few season time the FA Cup will be treated as teh league cup is now by many bigger clubs as they focus their resources on the league and euro comps.
Is this down to the money at stake, prestige of the bigger stage or both?
-
Here are my pick of the 3rd round scores -
As I said above Non-league sides Luton & Macclesfield are in the hat after both beating championship side,Wolves & Cardiff.
Championship side Brighton beat Newcastle 2-0
The lowest ranked team Hastings lost 5-1 at Middlesbrough.
Wigan will have to go Dean court after a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.
RVP saved Manchester United of going out, in a 2-2 and will play in a replay with West Ham.
Aston Villa got back to winning ways after beaning down 1-0 against Ipswich,Villa went on to win 2-1.
There a few tie still to be played, as I type Swansea are leading 1-0 against Ars*nal with about 25 mins to play.
Non-league side Manfield host Liverpool at 16.00
Cheltenham host Everton tomorrow night.
The 4th round draw is around 15.30 this afternoon, I'll give you the draw soon.

Its a tough draw for Villa, whoever wins out of Leeds and Birmingham will present us with a challenge and I fancy that we will be playing Leeds.
I fancy Manu to go out at the replay against wet spam as I think fergie will again rest key players for the league and CL

It will only present us with a challenge depending on the team we put out and what respect we show the team(s).
-
As long as AVB dosen't rest to many key players we shouldn't have too many problems, this is a problem I can see comin as we progress we are going to start racking up the games and squad rotation is going to have to come into play !!!

I agree. It will test our resolve.

I wonder where the assistant ref was looking when Suarez handled the ball to score the second goal at Mansfied. He must have been looking at the Chief Executive. Dreadful!
-

If they can beat City then I am sure they are good enough to beat Ars*nal.
Congratulations to Wigan for winning the FA Cup.
-
Still have a bit of a soft spot for Wigan back from when Jason DeVos played for them, and plus I root for underdogs when Spurs aren't involved. Glad to see they won.
-
Bloody marvellous!
-
Bloody marvellous!
Yes, now let us hope that they can repeat what they did in the FA cup final against City, to Ars*nal.
Wigan at least needs to win or draw to still have a chance of staying up. If they lose they will be relegated.
