How on Earth is it possible that Hugo Lloris has broken his wrist immediately after returning to training? :tickedoff:

Rather ironic I would say, given all the speculation of late. A big chance for Vorm, is he up to it ??

I think he is. He was in great form when playing for Swansea and definitely deserves more games. However, I wouldn't be surprised if we bought another back-up keeper. McGee is still very young and Archer was released.

According to some reports - not all - he will be ready for the Manchester United game.
Dave Mackay was returning to the full squad when he broke his leg in a reserve game. Those things happen. The question is, is Spurs prepared?
-
A major blow before we start!
Bet we won't see him till October time if we are lucky :(
-
Judging by Vorm's performance against Real Madrid, we could be in the deep s**t against Manchester United on Saturday.

Hugo is in the squad for the AC Milan game.
-
Bale was lucky to score. No doubt Lloris would have kept that one out. His return on Saturday is paramount!

If it is Vorm then it is important that he has a great defence in front of him.

Howdy,
They say this French player is a good player, but he has nothing on the great Pat Jennings or even Brown. But I mustn’t grumble, if they say he is the best then who am I to argue?

Lloris is a good player, but like all good goalkeepers, they need a good defence.

This Frenchman looks a good goalkeeper. I haven’t heard anymore about United wanting to purchase him and according to what I’ve read he is happy here. So let us hope that none of the players we want kept get unsettled because of rumours.
Wife calling so better go, but thanks for the interesting comments and see you all again, time permitting.
The Don.

Hi Don,
I don't think he will be going now. If we sold him we would need to buy another quickly, so I can't see that happening.
-
He'll be here for at least for another season.
-
He played well yesterday and kept us goalless. Let us hope he keeps it up.

Let us, hope so.

I read that Lloris has been withdrawn from the French squad so that he could talk to United. At the same time I've read that the transfer of their goalkeeper to Real Madrid has fallen through because of administration error. I suppose we'll know tonight for sure.

It is closed and he is staying, brilliant. He is a great goalkeeper.  :nods:

After what hes been saying since its closed its a pretty good assumption come the January window Old Trafford bound he is! the failing of the De Gea move to RM is the only reason he stayed.

According to the news reports he will see out his contract until the end of the season and I doubt that Lloris will want to play second fiddle to De Gea.
-
United also have Sergio Romero and he's the number one of Argentina.

True; and this is all good news in keeping Lloris.
-
Tottenham have had a proud history of goalkeepers.

Spurs have been lucky with good goalkeepers and Lloris also goes into that group of great goalkeepers, well he will do if he stays.
-
Hugo was lucky against Sunderland. Defoe hitting the woodwork, if it had been a few inches the other way then Defoe would have scored and we might have been talking about a different game and a different result. But a win is a win, even a bad one. Or a lucky one.
