Am i alone in thinking this is a stupid decision, why is he captain? he doesn't lift a team, in most games you'll only ever actually see him for 2 seconds, when he trys to catch a over the top ball, how on earth does he get the captaincy, other then to make him feel better as he's a 'big star' who of course McClaren wants even though he hasn't proven himself at club level or international level since he left liverpool.
Now i don't particularly like owen it has to be said, and i think other strikers deserved the chance to play up front in this game, so how he ended up being captain i don't know! in head of king who's captain for his club further insult!
