Match Preview: Manchester City v Spurs – fingers crossed for a good result.
After three straight defeats, we could do with a turnaround of fortunes; unfortunately, that turnaround – if it happens – will be against City on their own turf. And, yes, pigs might fly… as they often do when the Gooners travel abroad.
Premier League champions Manchester City find themselves in second place, a point behind Arsenic and Old Lace. Pep Guardiola’s side won nine of their opening 12 matches which includes two losses. Before the recent international break, they played out an entertaining 1-1 draw against Liverpool at home. Erling Haaland was once again on the scoresheet as he extended his efforts for this season to 14 goals. We, on the other hand, have faltered after winning four on the bounce. A crazy 4-1 loss to Pochettino’s Blue Boys at home, which saw two of our players sent off, which was followed up by a 2-1 at Wolves. With those results, it was enough to see Ange Postecoglou’s men surrender their championship lead. Then on Sunday just gone we lost to Villa at home.
Man City are on a 15-game winning streak at home in the Premier League.
Both teams have scored in three of Man City’s last four Premier League home matches.
Man City scored at least two goals in 13 of their previous 15 home league games.
We have netted in each of their previous 13 league road games.
Man City opened the scoring in each of their last 10 home Premier League outings.
Team News
Bentancur is out for three months, and on top of that we still haven’t got Ivan Perisic, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon, Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Alfie Whiteman, they are all out.

My possible starting lineup:
Vicario; Porro, Dier, Davies, Udogie; Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson
My Prediction.
Unless a miracle happens, I can’t see past a 3-1 defeat. I am just hoping I am wrong.
With the players we got out, we are going to need a miracle. Some of the names Ange had on the bench I’ve never even heard of (youth), that shows you how desperate we are.
But miracles do happen, and, no doubt, all Spurs fans… including the manager and team, will be praying for one.
Up the Spurs!
