Arsenal laugh at Conte’s appointment.
Some Arsenal players laugh at Conte’s appointment, but one, in particular, gives a three-word response to his appointment. Methinks it is more jealousy and fear. The Gooners had the last laugh when they beat us under Nuno’s tutelage and then leapfrogged us. They obviously thought that their time had come, and our demise was inevitable. But, as they say, the only certainty in the world is death and taxes… and we are certainly not dead… more revitalised. While the Gooners still have the joker in the pack shuffling his own cards.
Yes, the leading Gooner player was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has given a straightforward three-word response to the club’s appointment of Antonio Conte. Yes, the horrors, cries and fears that fenced the final weeks of hapless Nuno’s reign has been replaced by positivity and hope following the arrival of Conte. Not only that, but I hear stories coming out of the club that the players are ecstatic over Conte’s training sessions and his man-management skills, unlike Nuno’s headless chicken antics approach.
I’ve also heard that the Italian has raised standards amongst the players, staff, specialists and analysts, all keen to impress him.
Premier League hopes
We are ten points behind the Russians, however, only six points behind Liverpool, in fourth. That is just two wins to their two – hopefully – losses, and they’ve already been beaten by the Spammers (which is a start to a long line of defeats, we say with fingers crossed).
So, what is Aubameyan beef? Who has insisted that he pays no heed to the Gunners’ rivals bringing in Conte? If that was the case, then how did he know we got him? Here is already a chink in his armour… Aubameyan is like every Gooners player and fan, watching with one eye on Tottenham’s progress under Conte while the other is shaking with eyeball fear.
Aubameyan actual words were “I don’t care” before bursting into laughter. He then added: “I’ll be honest, I really don’t care. That’s not my problem. Really.” He doesn’t care so much that he had to comment and start his chuckle muscles rotating into a disjointed expression with noises attached.
My thoughts
If you ask any enemy of our club, their first response would be to laugh, mock, abuse and get into a right old tiswas… but deep down, they must be banging their heads against Mikel Arteta’s kneecaps as they crawl on the floor of their clubs’ maze of jokes.. Trust me, Arsenal players and fans very much care about us bringing in a world-class manager.
