Tottenham’s Carabao Cup clash against West Ham; dates etc.
It has now been confirmed that our game in Carabao Cup quarter-final against the spammers will take place on Wednesday, December 22, with kick-off scheduled for 7.45 pm.
We beat Wolves 3-2 on penalties at the Molineux Stadium in September’s Third Round of the League Cup. Then we travelled to Turf Moor to overcome Burnley 1-0 to progress into the competition’s quarter-finals.
As for the spammers, they beat the hapless Manchester United and then the reigning League Cup champions Manchester City to book their place in the final eight and a clash with us. This will be at our ground next month.
In our first encounter in the premier league this season, the Spammers beat Nuno’s hapless Spurs; this time around, they will have to face the formidable Antonio Conte’s in his first big London derby in charge of us, although we are scheduled to play Brentford in the Premier League next month.
Thoughts
This will be an exciting clash as the spammers got the better of us at their Meccano stadium with Nuno in charge. But this time around, it will be a different kettle of fish. Now that Conte is in charge, we all will be heading into this clash with a lot more conviction. The Carabao Cup unquestionably symbolizes the most straightforward route to silverware for Conte this year.
