Hope, Skipp and jump for Tottenham
We’ve been boosted by the return of the prodigal son, Oliver Skipp, to pre-season training, just in time to be inspected by our new head coach. As we all know, the midfielder spent all of last season on loan at Norwich City, and by all accounts, it was a very successful time for him; however, he did suffer a fracture of his metatarsal bone in his right foot in the final minutes of 4-1 win over Reading which sealed Norwich the Sky Bet Championship title. A Spurs player winning a trophy (but not with Spurs), now there is a novelty for you!
His operation went well, and now he is back to training and hopefully in time to impress Nuno.
Skipp has been present throughout the season at Norwich, making 47 appearances in all competitions until he suffered that injury in the penultimate game of Norwich’s campaign.
Thoughts
It is great to see him back in training, but whether he will get a look in on Nuno’s new-look team is a moot question. He might be on the subs bench for a while until an opportunity presents itself.
All the best, Glenn
