Not good news today, but tomorrow it might be different.

Not good news today, but tomorrow it might be different.

You remember reading that Pochettino was coming, and all parties were happy; today is a different day. According to Alasdair Gold, well, he has claimed that any chance of Poch returning to our club this time around isn’t going to happen (end of).

Last week Sky Sports claimed that the Poch-man was in talks with Levy over a dramatic returning to N17. Previously Levy admitted that he had made mistakes and that Poch and himself had a lot in common (they have both been failures at Tottenham… ok, I made that bit up – at least about him saying it  –  however, it is close to the truth).

Gold, who can be a bit of a detective, revealed that he did some investigation work on whether a return was on the cards earlier today for the Poch, but then insisted that there is not even a cat’s chance that “a last-minute u-turn could happen”.

Gold spoke on his YouTube channel): “I understand after digging around today and got in trouble on my day off from doing so, but the Poch door is closed.  Anyone hoping for a last-gap turnaround, from what I am told, it is closed now, and Spurs have had to move on. I’d imagine, I wouldn’t be shocked if Poch comes out now with something publicly committing his future to the club, saying I never wanted to go, and I think for him, that would be the intelligent thing to do.”

So, that is it in a nutshell, no doubt Alasdair might report something different tomorrow, but today we’ve got this. Tomorrow it might be revealed that Levy has had enough of failures and will run the team himself. If so, trophies could be on the cards, such as the Championship.

It was also reported by my good self that the Italian double act Paratici & Conte were certain to come here. It was even stated in the media that it was a done deal. Again, today is a different day and story, as I now believe they are haggling over the war chest (for transfers). Give it a bit longer, and we might find out that Alf Ramsey, Bill Nicholson and even Bobby Moore might be in the running. That is all we need, another stiff taking over.

And as for Kane… exactly… the story rumbles on.

Remember that famous quote: “The news isn’t there to tell you what happened. It’s there to tell you what it wants you to hear or what it thinks you want to hear.” Believe it or not, that is from the X-Men.
