One in, one out on load: Rodon & Carter-Vickers.
Let us start with Roden. Levy has done another brilliant transfer window deal. We signed sign Wales centre-back from Swansea for £11m. He is a centre-back and was bought from Swansea on a five-year deal… The 11 million fee will also include add-ons.
Rodon, who is 22, made 54 appearances for the Championship club having made his Swans debut during the 2018-19 campaign. He also started all three of Wales’ matches during the international break to take his tally to seven caps.
Rodon is our seventh signing of the season, and he joins countrymen Ben Davies and Gareth Bale, who re-signed for Tottenham on loan from Real Madrid.
The young Welshman’s arrival adds depth to defence, which has seen the departures of centre-backs Jan Vertonghen to Benfica and Juan Foyth to Villarreal on loan.
Although the transfer window closed on 5 October for Premier League clubs to sign players from abroad, they were allowed to conduct business with Football League teams until 17:00 BST on Friday.
We wish him all the best. COYS!
As for Cameron Carter-Vickers, well Bournemouth signs the defender on loan. They have signed him on a season-long loan. The 22-year-old’s move includes a recall option in January. He has previously spent time on loan away from Spurs at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City and Luton Town. He played 16 times in the Championship for the Hatters over the second half of last season.
