The man who fell out with Pep Guardiola is having a medical at Spurs.
Yes, you’ve heard that right. The 33-year-old – nearly a footballing pensioner – former Burnley and Manchester City goalkeeper, the man who is all Hart, Joe, is set to join us on a freebie.
Joe Hart left Burnley when his contract was up (30-June) and fled the Burnley nest.. Eagle-eyed Spurs saw an opportunity to nap him by the short and curlies as an ideal replacement for Vorm.
As I stated in the title of this article, Joe played for Pep Guardiola but quickly fell out of favour in 2016. He lost his position to Tom Heaton halfway through the first season of a two-year contract and then spent 2019-20 on the bench behind Nick Pope. He was then loaned out to every Tom, Penis or Harry; i.e. Torino and West Ham before moving to Burnley in 2018. You can guess who the claret penis is (no clues here!)?
Joe is due to have a thoroughgoing over (medical), and when he is given the all-clear, and no swellings or broken bones detected or rare diseases, then he will compete with Paulo Gazzaniga to be Hugo Lloris’ deputy.
Once everything is official, and above board, I shall come back to you and tell you that that is so. Please send no money as this is a free service, our only pleasure is informing you, the Spurs public, what is what and what isn’t what and may never the twain meet.
