Preview: Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City. Sunday at 4pm.
We host Leicester on Sunday in another critical clash in the race for European qualification. In our case, it will be Europa League, while Leicester are going for a Champions League place.
With back-to-back wins, we have gathered some momentum as we look to secure a place in next season’s Europa League.
Leicester, who are in fourth spot, sit ahead of Manchester United on goal difference. A slip-up could hand the initiative to United ahead of the final week of the season.
Team news
Again, we will be without Eric Dier, who is suspended. We could also be without Serge Aurier for the remainder of the campaign after he returned to France on Thursday while Tanguy Ndombele may have already played his last game for the club after being ruled out of their final two matches. Japhet Tanganga’s return to fitness and could play.
My prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Leicester
After decent victories over Arsenal and Newcastle, we could be finding some momentum to finish the season with.
An extra day’s rest could also benefit us with Leicester as they played Sheffield United 24 hours later.
Head to head
This will be the 114th meeting between these two sides with Spurs winning 56 of those. Leicester have 36 wins to their name.
This is a game we must win if we have any hope of Thursday night football. Leicester have had a bumpy ride the last couple of games and need to get back on track.
