Harry Redknapp will leave it late to decide whether or not Gareth Bale will feature against AC Milan in the Champions League.

Bale returned from a back injury in the weekend draw at Wolves, coming off the bench to play for just over 20 minutes at Molineux, but Redknapp has revealed the player felt the effects of that appearance.

Redknapp said: “His back’s fine but he was stiff in the legs.

“It’s touch and go. We’d love to start with him but if he’s not quite right I wouldn’t want to take a chance.”

Spurs look set to welcome back star man Rafael van der Vaart from a calf injury he sustained during the 1-0 first-leg victory at the San Siro.

And defensively Redknapp has received a boost with the return of Ledley King (groin) and Younes Kaboul (knee), although Vedran Corluka (ankle) is ruled out with the injury he suffered in the firest leg.

AC Milan are without three key players at White Hart Lane, with Gennaro Gattuso (suspended) the most notable absentee after picking up a second yellow card in this season’s competition.

Also missing for the Serie A leaders are Andrea Pirlo (knee) and Massimo Ambrosini (thigh), but former Arsenal man Mathieu Flamini should start.

  1. Our defence, strikers & keeper must perform at 110%.Traditionally, they all take turns in taking day offs.
If Gallas,Daws, Sandro & BAE can keep Zlatan, Pato & Robinho at bay for the full duration of the game, then half our battle is won. Most importantly, to all the guilty one’s, don’t expose yourselves to a red card. Not easy to recover with 10 men.
