Redknapp concerned by Bale injury

Gareth Bale could be sidelined for some time by a back problem which flared up again in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle United.

The 21-year-old Wales international lasted just 11 minutes of the St James’ Park clash, with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp confirming that Bale has been hampered by the problem for some time. He commented:

“He has had a bad back for the last few weeks and we need to get that sorted out because it is dragging on now.

“We need to get someone to see it and get him back as he is important to us.

“You don’t know with back injuries, do you? It’s a shame. We need him playing for sure.

“There wouldn’t be a better left-sided player anywhere than Gareth Bale, that’s for sure.”

Bale has already found the net 12 times this season for Spurs, including a stunning hat-trick in a 4-3 against  reigning European champions Inter Milan in October.

  1. This is funny and sad at the same time funny because Andy Carroll draped a shirt over is bare shoulder after out game he has not played Bale did the same now he has only played 11 mins and Harry said he has bean struggling with it for a few weeks. So why has the Medical staff not sent him for a scan and why has Harry Loaned Townsend his natural replacement to Watford. The funny thing i expected Bale to start getting injury’s after is Utd shirt fiasco you don’t do what Bale did when you have bean linked with a move. I have fell out with Bale because i think there is more to this back injury and if it had happened a few weeks ago then i would have not thought anything about it Ferguson is the best poacher in the World and you can bet he has asked Giggs to have a wiord after our game. The two players who have started dropping there high standards are Van Der Vaart and Bale after we lost to Everton they new we would struggle to get fourth never mind win the league. I bet they are fit for the Ac Milan Game. sad mad DAvspurs hoping he is wrong
