Would Spurs Be Making A Mistake In Selling A 3rd Striker?
Darren Bent is one player over the last year, that has been the victim of mixed feeling from alot of us Spurs fans, but now the time has come where he could possibly get he chance to be a first team regular.
As the season gets closer and it is looking like Darren Bent will be the only striker staying at the Lane, but he has attracted alot of interest from over the last couple of days from Sunderland and Everton. David Moyes said he is looking to make 6 news signings and it appears that Darren Bent is on his radar.
Spurs also expect a bid from Everton for their striker Darren Bent. David Moyes has not bought a single player this summer but the Bent deal is dependent on Andy Johnson's move. Fulham are about to make an offer in excess of £10m for the England international.(The Independent)
In January there would have been quite a few fans that where disappointed in him and saying we should have cashed in on Darren Bent then, but in a few weeks we could possible be left with no first team strikers to our name.
The sale of Bent could potentially raise our transfer fund to 80m, if other transfers such as, Berbatov, Keane and the 4 players to Sunderland go through.
Would the sale of Darren Bent be big a Big mistake and is it worth selling all of our strikers to buy more attacking players when we clearly need players in other positions?
