New here! Hello from Long Beach, CA!

Hi Everyone!

I'm new & glad to be here!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not (if it's not, please tell me to move it on along) but my husband & I are planning our first trip across the pond from California for December of this year- I'm hoping some of you guys can help me figure out a few key things: which hotels are near WHL, which airport to fly into, best pubs, when is the schedule for next season posted, when do tickets go on sale, etc. Obviously I have quite a bit of time to plan, so no rush on any of this, and thank you in advance to anyone who has any input.

Thanks everyone!

-Summer

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see our American cousins, specially when they support Spurs.

Look forward to your posts.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for showing some love!

I figured it was a bit early to do any concrete planning, but I'm so thrilled about the whole thing that I couldn't stand waiting! The idea of actually seeing a match in person makes my brain want to explode with excitement! 8D

I'll be sure to stick around and pick your brains a bit more down the line.

Thanks again!

Welcome to the site.  Yourself and your hubby should join Spurs as members in July as it gives you access to tickets earlier than the general sale to the public.

Stansted is the nearest airport to WHL but no flights from USA come in there so you will probably be arriving in Heathrow or Gatwick.  You can get to WHL from either so no panic.

No real hotels in Tottenham, stay near Liverpool St in the centre of London as the train to WHL goes from there !!!!!  You can stay anywhere in London as the underground tube system is excellent.

PS...start learning the Spurs songs !!!!!

Thanks for the tips! Much much appreciated! This whole process of getting tickets is so foreign to me!  :o

So I have a few follow up questions for those in the know, who are so gracious as to help!

I signed up for a Bronze membership, and have zeroed in on the Stoke match up in late December. The hubby & I want to do New Years abroad this year, so this match fits into our time table perfectly. It looks like the on sale dates were finally announced, and Nov 4 it is!

How does it work in regards to getting two tickets sitting next to each other? If I read correctly, my membership only gets me 1 ticket, correct? Do I need to sign my husband up for a Bronze membership as well in order to accomplish this? Also, it says on sale time is 930AM UK time- I'm in California, so 1:30AM the 'night' before, correct?

Lastly, what is the consensus regarding best place to sit at the lane?

Thanks again for all the help! Couldn't do it without you guys!

-Summer

PS- where can I find all the Spurs songs!?

Hey Summer!

Is your hubby Bob?

You can only get 1 ticket on your membership, there is a guest day were you can buy another 1 but they might not be 2 seats in the same place.
I have a lot of contacts of are members, I could get another fans card and borrow it and pass it on you you then you'll be able to get 2 seats next to each other early.

Yes I believe early hours of the morning in your time zone but please note we lose a hour in October so we go back to GMT instead of BST.

Spurs songs there loads, a simple search on google will give you loads.

"Oh when the Spurs go marching in.... :)

Anything else I'm here to help.

Hey Southend!

No, not Bob. Not that I know of anyway! :2funny:

Thank you so much for all the tips- so incredible helpful! If that is possible, I would gladly and eagerly take you up on that offer! I was really hoping not to have to separate- it just wouldn't be quite the same experience.

I will check and double check come November that I have got the time thing right. Is it pretty hard to get tickets online? How much Redbull should I have before I attempt?  :tickedoff:

I have had the privilege of attending a few LA Spurs events where the chanting is loud and constant, so I'm a wee bit familiar. Will have to start attending regularly and brushing up!

If I may ask, what section would you suggest we sit in at WHL?

Thanks again, much appreciated!

Ah ok just wondered as there was a bob from USA last season asking for tickets with he's wife also.

I book all my tickets online, as long as you get on the website like 10-15 mins, you will sit in a online que just wait and you'll be ok to log in your membership details.

If you like a sing song then I say go for the south stand, I usually go for south stand upper, great view and join in the songs.

Keep in contact and closer the time I will ask for a another membership card for you.

I have also followed you on twitter

All the best and good luck

Ben
