Kevin Nolan to Tottenham !?

Well, Big Sam has just left Bolton and seems like his protege Nolan might just as well follow suit !

I admit I like the guy. He is a very nice defensive midfielder and his long shots usually get to the target. Nolan is also quite familiar with scoring goals and has good leadership skills, which is always a plus.

His estimated price is about 5 million pounds I believe, which is an "ok" investment for such a good player. I don't think any of the current Top 4 teams will go for him, so that leaves us pretty much without competition for his signature !!

EDIT: I thought I might also add that we are in a need of a good defensive midfielder that is not that "rushy" on opponents. Nolan has already shown he is mature enough and acts calm with ball at his feet. He also has another plus of being just 24-year old which is huge advantage when looked up with his experience up to date.

So, what do you think: Should we try and sign him or not ?

I thought this now Sam has gone. Would be a great buy for us, would really improve the midfield.

Yeah I think Nolan would be a good buy, I can see him settling in pretty quickly at Spurs as well and scoring a fair few goals.

I think he`d be a very good signing, would give us more steel in midfield and he scores goals too.
Of course, SA might take him to Man City.

Nolan has Dutch grandparents! :D

So, he could play for us, but I don't think MvB will select him.

Nolan would be a great signing. He would bring the grit in midfield and the goals that have been lacking from that department.
However BBC sport have Published this article:

"Club captain Kevin Nolan has pledged his future to Sammy Lee's Bolton"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/6609281.stm

This is probably just to show a united front at Bolton, anything can happen in the summer.

From the BBC website

Club captain Kevin Nolan has pledged his future to Sammy Lee's Bolton - and revealed that former boss Sam Allardyce does not have another job lined up.

Allardyce resigned on Sunday, prompting speculation that Nolan would follow him out of the Reebok Stadium.

But after the appointment of Lee on Monday, Nolan told BBC Sport: "I'm looking forward to being part of the next stage at Bolton."

And he added: "I know Sam Allardyce does not have a job in the pipeline."

Looks like he is staying at Bolton
