Martin Jol admits he is still smarting about Tottenham's defeat to Ars*nal in the Carling Cup and feels the players need to secure victory over The Gunners on Saturday to hand the fans something to take from the season.Spurs made progress in all three cup competitions, but bowed out to Chelsea in the FA Cup, Sevilla in the Uefa Cup and Ars*nal in the Carling Cup.Jol's charges led 2-0 during the first leg of their semi-final, before succumbing to Arsene Wenger's young guns.Tottenham are off the pace in the Premiership, but still in the hunt to secure a spot in Europe and Jol feels victory over their neighbours is of paramount importance."We want to do well in that one - we feel we owe that much to the supporters," said Jol."If I think back to the last game against them here in the Carling Cup when we led 2-0 - it still hurts."
