Tottenham have opened talks on a double deal for Palermo stars Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani, says The Daily Mail, who read it in Friday's Italian press. The price for the Danish defender and the Uruguayan striker is a cool £28m, according to the Italian side's president Maurizio Zamparini. "The interest from Tottenham in Cavani and Kjaer is real," said Zamparini. "Negotiations are taking place and the total price for them both would be about €35m (£28m)." Danish defender Kjaer is also thought to be a target for Manchester City, United and Wolfsburg, while Cavani is apparently dreaming of a move to Inter Milan.
BARRERA WANTS OUT?
Reports are also linking Spurs with Mexican winger Pablo Barrera, who has also been linked with Manchester United. He is keen to move to Europe from Pumas in the Mexican league. "I hope I can go abroad to play in a traditional club in Europe, but first I want to do well in the World Cup," he said. "I like Spanish football, the Italian, English - I like various styles of the game. I aspire to that, I want to be in a good team, that's all I want."
