Spurs are boosted by the return of William Gallas for the New Year’s Day showdown with London rivals Fulham.
Gallas has been sidelined with a hamstring injury but looks likely to make an immediate return to the starting XI with Younes Kaboul suspended.
Kaboul is unavailable as he starts a three-match ban after being dismissed against Newcastle on Tuesday while Defoe serves the second game of a similar length ban after being red-carded on Boxing Day.
Robbie Keane is doubtful with a hamstring problem of his own, but definitely out are Ledley King (groin) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle).
Fulham are able to call upon veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer one more time before he links up with the Australia national team for the Asian Cup.
Meanwhile, Moussa Dembele has recovered from an ankle injury but the game could come too soon for the striker to start.

I expect Fulham to come to Spurs fully charged like all desperate Teams and its this energised Performances that makes predicting Games very hard . This does not surprise me because the Premiership is badly policed when it comes to testing players i was told by the very people whose job it his to stop energy cheats and they admitted they could not stop it and now you have shocks galore to prove it and some games have staggering goal chances and equally staggering defending.
